Waiting

The Lord spoke something to me about waiting on Him. On most occasions, I have interpreted the Scripture in Isaiah 40:31 to be on a devotional level and not an ongoing basis. I guess I always think about it that way because I relate waiting on the Lord directly to my prayer life and drawing strength from Him there. Here lately God has been teaching me not to compartmentalize my communication with Him, but to be continually sensitive to His voice.

Jesus said in John 5:19, "I'm telling you this straight. The Son can't independently do a thing, only what he sees the Father doing. What the Father does, the Son does. The Father loves the Son and includes him in everything he is doing." (The Message) If we want to be included in what the Father is doing, we are going to have to learn to wait, watch, and listen for Him at ALL times. By waiting on Him in this way, we allow Him to dominate our entire existence. It's pretty simple...just wait.
